An aluminum anode is a component of a galvanic cathodic protection system that prevents corrosion in underground or submerged metal structures such as pipelines, tanks, and other equipment. They’re also known as sacrificial anodes because they’re designed to submit to the corrosion process, leaving the rest of the system relatively corrosion-free. Recmar’s aluminum anodes kit provides cathodic protection by attaching a more active metal, such as aluminum, to the metal structure to be protected. Results in a galvanic cell where the active metal acts as an anode, supplying an electron flux to the structure, which acts as the cathode. Key Features:
